Kit Digital is an initiative of the Government of Spain, which aims to subsidize the implementation of digital solutions available on the market to achieve a significant advance in the level of digital maturity. The Digital Kit is an aid program launched by the Government in mid-2021 to support the digitalization process of the self-employed and small businesses. These grants are provided for in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and have a total allocation of 3,067 million euros. The Digital Kit Program, financed by the well-known European Union Funds, allows the self-employed to access a grant of between 2,000 and 12,000 euros, depending on the size of their business, to invest in a digital tool.

The main objective of the Digital Kit Program is to provide smaller businesses with the digital tools that are increasingly necessary to compete in today’s market. The Digital Kit has a dual purpose: on the one hand, to help the self-employed and SMEs beneficiaries to take the step towards digital transformation, but also to direct the funds to other small businesses, the digitalizing agents, who will be the ones who will charge for installing these services.
